Setting up a google analytics ID

Hi - I am a bit confused after reading several support threads about adding a google analytics ID.

I see the field in "Site Settings" (in the NP desktop) to add the Google Analytics ID. After adding the ID, should I then import the "theme" and upload to the live site? Is that all I need to do to identify this new site?

There is also a (third party) joomla plugin that I can install and then add the Google Analytics ID code info as well.

Please confirm the best practice to add this google analytics info to this new site.

Hi, Mitzi,

Thanks for using Nicepage! You can easily adjust the Google Analytics for your Nicepage theme and export it to your site, the Google Analytics ID won't disappear. Also, if you work on Joomla, it is possible to set it up on the Nicepage plugin.

In the backend of Joomla, when I open a NP article, on top, under theme, there is a "Site Settings" pop up window. Are you referring to that?

Yes, the Google Analytics can be adjusted in the Site Settings, in the Google menu. It is available for Desktop version, Online version, and the Nicepage plugin for WordPress and Joomla.

How can I add the code to a specific page like a "Thank you" page. I'm using Google ads and would like to only track when the customer clicked through without wasting clicks ($$) on the other pages.
