Tony,

If you want to remove Nicepage App from your desktop, please open Finder / Application and drop Nicepage App to trash.

In this case the app will be deleted, but your projects will remain on hard drive.

Hi,

Nicepage Desktop uses the projects folder to display websites on the dashboard. The Projects folder is specified under the Profile >> Preferences. This folder should contain website folders named as "Site_[numbers]". Please check what projects folder is now used by the Nicepage application and copy website folders ("Site_[numbers]") to this directory. Then restart Nicepage.

Olivia

I formatted my hard drive, I have the Nicepage folder on my desktop as before, but I cannot access it through Nicepage app.

You would need to see where your Preferences project folder is pointing.
But you have to make sure you have a saved project file for each site you want to re-import.
If you don't have them, there are no guarantees anything else will work.
Hard drive space is cheap. Don't worry about file size of the saved project files you back up.
It's better to be safe, than to have to rebuild all those sites from scratch again.
You should already be doing it.
I always include the project file when I export and upload my sites so I have a backup in case there's a problem.
I can't tell you how many times I've seen users on this site have to rebuild their sites after all that work because they never saved a project file as a backup.
My project files are less than 3MB. Better to be safe than sorry.

Do you know where the websites are stored in my desktop design dashboard? I have 40 sites designed all are live, and I want to keep them there in case there are any changes to the sites, then I don't have to import them back in, which doubles the file size.

The only guaranteed way I know is to import project files that you specifically export.
Make sure you have one for each site saved.
You can try using the files you have if they’re the site_ files, but I’m not sure it will work.
Exported html files definitely WONT work.

Hi Merlin
Thanks for the link, my question is that the websites in my sites in the nicepages desktop, these are in a folder nicepages folder on my desktop, if I copy the folder onto a dongle, then format my hard drive the bring them back in from the dongle to my desktop will they still be on my sites in nicepages?

Hi, Tony,
Thanks for using Nicepage!

First of all check your 'Preferences', in your 'Profile' (see attachments)

2021-02-05-185726.png

There is a 'Project Folder' field with the path and folder's name with your saved projects. Check this folder.
Copy all files and folders from this location and from the Desktop (if there are Nicepage folders or files) to the external storage (USB, HDD, etc)
Then you can format your hard drive.
After that, you can download Nicepage https://nicepage.com/download, install and setup it.
Then copy from the external storage to Nicepage default folder all your saved files and folders.
This should be exactly the folder with your projects.
