Hello,

The theme exporting option is available in uPage Desktop. But unlike Themler uPage desktop does not include CMS. Therefore you cannot control CMS Content in uPage Desktop. But you can style Blog and Post templates, Horizontal Menu and create Pages with content which can be further imported into your WP local or remote installation.

Currently uPage themes support only a number of Footer Widget areas. But the future uPage versions will support custom widget areas also. The theme building functionality is not finished yet.

If you installed uPage theme exported from Desktop application the menu can be configured in a usual way under the Appearance >> Menus.

If you're working with uPage plugin for Wordpress you can create the content only. In this case uPage content builder can be used with any WP theme.

uPage has two main functions: theme builder and content builder. They can be used together or separately. For example, you can build the content with uPage plugin for CMS and not use uPage theme.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi,

Yes, we implemented two options in NicePage Desktop and plugin:

widgets.png

The "WordPress Widget" option allows to insert built in WP widgets into the content and the "Position and Sidebar" option creates sidebar with widget area. The second option is a theme option available for Post, Blog and Page Templates in Nicepage Desktop.

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi,
I was happy when I found NicePage,
but as I see it in first view,
connection between WP content (WP widgets, post content, page content, .. .) and NicePage is very bad .. .almost doesn't exists ...

I means NicePage is unusable for wordpress until there will be some possibility to include WP CMS content into NicePage content (template) ...
And it makes me disappointed
themler is much more integrated with WP And it means is more useful for CMS users.

I would like to buy NicePage but until better integration with WordPress, Joomla , .. . is it unusable for me ...
Hope you will create something like custom widget, or something other ... :-)
I will buy it immediately if NicePage will be better with CMS systems ....(WP, Joomla, Drupal,...)
Bye
Juraj

Hi,

The Position and Sidebar option allows you to add the custom Widget Areas in the place you want.
And WooCommerce theme is in our roadmap.

Sincerely,
Hella

If you noticed, the article and the video only shows how to add "positions & sidebars" into Blog and Post templates, but doesn´t work in pages. I´ve been trying to add custom widget areas to a Home template and not working.

Hi lgallpelen,

but doesn´t work in pages. I´ve been trying to add custom widget areas to a Home template and not working.

Nicepage pages are CMS content Pages/Articles.
Both Wordpress and Joomla do not allow the creation of widget areas or module positions inside content. Therefore, once you added Position control on the Nicepage page, you should specify the name of the existing theme widget area/module position. In other words, Position control allows displaying widget/module which is located in one of the widget areas/module positions existing in the theme.

Hello Olivia...
Simple answer is ... look to Themler integration with WP, Joomla, ..... How Themler uses widgets from WP, ...How uses Joomla .... and other CMS...
I think it is very important to include content from CMS into nicePage created pages :-)

Thanks.

Juraj

Hi Juraj,

Actually, Themler does not allow to insert Joomla Position or WP Widget area controls into the green content area. This area is equivalent to the Nicepage Page (everything between Header and Footer). In both cases, this is WP Page/Joomla article content. But in Nicepage you CAN insert Position control into this area and display existing CMS widgets located in the widget area/position created in the theme. Also, Nicepage allows inserting built-in WP Widgets into the content (Meta tags, Calendar, Text, etc). In this aspect, Nicepage provides more options than Themler.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi,

Please let me know why you need to add the widget area manually? Maybe you can use the ready Nicepage solutions.
And also we do not support custom code modifications.

I just want my clients to use the wordpress editor and not go into nicepage.
I'm not concerned about the cost of nicepage (pay even ultimate license).

Hi,

There are two possible solutions:

  1. Add the menu widget to the existing theme widget area and then add Position control on the Nicepage page and use the name of the existing theme widget area for Position control.
  2. Depending on the plugin, there is could be an option to add the menu created by the plugin using a shortcode or PHP function. For this Nicepage provides Shortcode and PHP controls.
