joomla: How can I show category description/text at top of the blog articles?

This is a standard Joomla! option.
When editing the menu item for a category, the second and third options are to "Show Title" and "Show Description".
Show Title works... why not Show Description?

Nicepage uses specific elements to display specific Joomla content like Post title and Post content. Unfortunately, there is no element for category description. But we added your request to our wish list.

It would be really helpful to have this available.
Currently, I am using a Joomla position as a workaround and making a module to simulate the Category Description, but this brings its own problems.
It would be great to have the standard Joomla feature available through NicePage.

Do you have any idea when this might be implemented? I had category descriptions showing on the previous Artisteer template so it's annoying not to have it on Nicepage.

At this moment Nicepage does not provide the element for the article category description.

I agree. Not being able to show the category descriptions is a problem. Hopefully it will be implemented soon in Nicepage.
Although a Nicepage template doesn't show the Category Description in a Category Blog menu item, it does seem to show the Category Description for a Category List menu item. Unfortunately, it places all the text (the Category Description and the Category List) at the extreme left of the screen so it doesn't seem to use the template properly and I can't see any way of persuading it to keep it within the page margins.
My workaround is to not use the Category List menu item but to create a new single Article and manually link to the Category articles. This is fine as I rarely change the articles in this Category but it would be good to actually use joomla's Category List menu item properly.
