I inserted a number of Meta tags in the space provided in the html setting.
Now these meta tags appear on the top of the page.
I have attached a .jpg perhaps you could tell me how to remove them.
Thanks

I have the same issue. It is frustrating and don't want them listed in the open on the page, and I don't seem to be able to change, alter or remove them.
David,
We had an issue some with Meta tags some time ago and already fixed it.
If your project is broken, please create a private topic, attach your project to it and we will fix it for you.

I had exactly the same issue. The project file was sent to nicepage and returned was fixed. Hopefully helping find the bug.
This bug is still evident in the latest update. I've had to send another project to nicepage to get fixed. Had to delve into the html using textwrangler to delete the offending code.
Hi,
That is not actually a bug. You are adding the plain text under the HTML tab and that tab is considered to include the correctly marked code. The plain SEO tags should be added under the SEO tab. We'll discuss with our developers about how to make this difference more evident.

If it is not a bug, then why can we not "fix it/reverse it" ourselves? I made the same mistake because it was not clear to me either.
So it would be nice if we get a workaround to fix this mistake, please...
Hi,
We have considered adding a notice for the HTML tab in order to avoid inserting the plain text without appropriate tags.

That's nice... but how do I fix the error myself? It's a bit of a hassle to send you my project to let you fix it.

Hi,
If you do not want to send us a project, you can export the theme as a project, open the file with the unwanted text in any text editor, find the text in the file, remove it, save. Then zip the folder back and import into the application.

Hi,
You are welcome. In case of any issues please contact us. Also I recommend to save the back up of the project before editing anything manually.

Hello, Nicepage Team. Hope you are having a good day.
I have the same issue with HTML Meta Tags and now they doesn´t appear so I can delete/erase them and won´t be cool at all if I have to start all over :S
Here´s a screenshot.
I´ll try some of the answers you provided in upper comments and I´ll let you know if worked for me. Thank you.
ISSUE FIXED!
Procedure:
1. Exported the website as project (zip file saved)
2. Then opened the zip file in Winrar to extract only the HTML file I need to fix
3. Keep Winrar open for future insertion and replacement of the HTML file
4. Open the HTML file into Notepad++ (tried open it in Dreamweaver but somehow it corrupted the saved file), and erased the desired text (unwanted meta tags) and simple saved the file
5. Drag & Drop the recently HTML file into Winrar (project folder) and just OK to add and replace the file
6. Close Winrar and go to Nicepage Desktop to import the project zip file
7. Everything works fine - Unwanted text (meta tags) are gone!
*Important not to "unzipped the file and re-zipped after the procedure, cause I think it damage the original format of the project file Nicepage exported. Just keep the project folder open in Winrar along the procedure.
Hope it can be helpful for everyone. And thank you again, Nicepage Team for the help.

Hi,
Yes, you can fix it that way. But originally issue is caused by the fact that the meta tags were added into the HTML tab and not into the SEO tab. We have added the warning message so the simple tax added into the HTML tab won't be applied. Let me know if you managed to add that text into the HTML tab in the latest version.

Hi,
Custom meta tags should be added to the Page or Site Settings >> HTML tab >> Meta tags. Here you should insert the complete HTML meta tag:
<meta name=" " content=" ">
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
