Ask a Question

Hello,
I need your help once more!

I created Joomla positions in nicepage: "logo-1" .... "logo-6".
Why does the content of the positions not appear?

It should work like the footers.
I created in Joomla a new "User Modul"? (German: "Eigenes Modul"), refered the Joomla positions, and created the content of the module in the JCE editor.

The footer-positions work, the logo-positions not.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON THERE?

See the attached pictures. They might explain my problem.

Thank you in advance!

Robert,

Please check the following screenshot:

theme-vs-content.png

So, the "Seite 1" is a content page. Everything between Header and Footer is a content -> Joomla Article. You cannot create module position inside article in Joomla. Module position is a theme element.
So, by adding the Position&Sidebar control on the page between Header and Footer you cannot create module position. But in Joomla you can insert the content of the existing module position using {loadposition} shortcode. The analogy of this shortcode in Nicepage is the use of Position&Sidebar control with the position name of the EXISTING module position in your theme (Nicepage or not Nicepage theme, it does not matter).
So, if you want to display these positions on all pages you should add them to the Post and Blog templates and export and install Nicepage theme too. If you're working with the content only please use the names of the existing theme positions.

Dear Olivia,

because I was not sure, I added it to all of them, to Seite 1, to Post Template AND to Blog Template.

I did it like it is shown in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_h7RyzCAu8
Beginning from 2:52 min.

I dont want to load it in the article via {loadposition}.

joomla-logo-pos-6.png

I need to place the modules between the article (post) and the footer. In the video it is possible. Why not for me?
It really sucks.
Today I repeated the procedure, but it did not work.

Hi Robert,

Could it be that the name of the Joomla-position has to begin with "nicepage"?

Great!
You can use any name acceptable by joomla.

I've exported the project you attached as a joomla theme and tested logo positions on the Post template. They work ok. This could be a caching problem.

Please let us know if you need our further assistance.

I am having the same problem. I have posted a private message as requested by your team and have yet to receive an answer. I still cannot get the modules to appear between the article (post)and the footer in the same position as Robbert was trying to achieve. I attach the exported joomla file. I have called the module nicepagebanner4.

I have now tried to create this module position many times for nearly a week. Please advise how to resolve this as it is crucial to my work.
Thanks

Hi Belinda,

We'll respond to your case as soon as possible. Meanwhile please read the answer posted by Olivia above. The one with the screenshot. You can find there an explanation about the positions that are positioned inside the content. You need to have the other module position within the theme part with the same name. That is because module positions inside the content cannot be created as a new positions, they can only show the content of any existing module position from your theme. So you need to add a module position with the same name for example in the Blog template. Then the position should work.

How do you get these positions to work on the "Articles » Featured Articles" menu option in joomla? The positions do not show for me when I do that.

Hi,

Please check that the positions are added into the template and not in the content. In content areas you can only call to the existing positions. Please watch this video:
https://nicepage.com/doc/article/6700/

If that does not help, create a private case with access to your site backend and detailed explanation of the issue with some screenshots.

Hello,

After some trys, it seems that we can't create a specific position in a template generated by the nicapage wiorkstation.
Burt, when we use the component nicepage in joomla, we can associate a position for a specific module; the position needs to exist of course in the using template, but this template was not generated by the nicepage workstation.
Is that correct ?

Hi,

Yes, the position should exist in the template that you are using. The idea is that when you add the position inside content, it calls the one that is defined in the template area.
