Ask a Question

I would like to know if it is possible to make a block on smaller (laptop) screens full width, while the same page displays for example width up to 80% of the screen on large monitors. If this is doable I wold appreciate a guide. Thank you in advance.

And side note. When I upload my site as wordpress, on my preview screens it's fine, but on certain laptops there appears to be a significant whitespace above the header section that shouldn't be there.

Hi Josip,

No, the Wide option cannot be activated only for the separate responsive views. You can try to resize the inner controls in each responsive mode manually.

Please provide a link to the site where we could see the issue. Also a screenshot will be helpful.

This is the site I am working on. I want wider screens to not show the image from edge to edge, but thinner screens to show the image completely from edge to edge without cropping the image, the height should stay the same. If I am manually resizing controls for each mode, won't that have problems if there are screens of different sizes and ratios? For example if i set an image on a block for a laptop to cover the whole width of a screen manually, will it also work for laptops with bigger screens, or will it not cover the whole width of that wider screen? I have encountered another issue. I want to add the font "avenir" for my buttons, but there isn't an option to add extra fonts?

Hi Josip,

I have opened your site and when you zoom out, the stretched image from the first section keeps the maximum size like this:

site-2.png

And you can edit the size for each responsive view and then check it on devices, it should be working fine.

As for the custom fonts, there is no way to add new fonts, you can use only those that are in the list. We provide a lot of Google Fonts.

Thank you for the help. I just have 2 more questions.

As for the custom fonts, there seems to be a way to implement them as such... Can you confirm this works?
https://nicepage.com/questions/62416/custom-fonts-instruction-and-example

And finally I have updated my site to wp from desktop nicepage, and when I try to make the smallest change in "edit with nicepage"
and click publish. It takes an extremely long time to do it, and by extremely it just seems to go on until it crashes. This would be a huge problem. Do you have any solution in regards to that?

Hi Josip,

Yes, you can use that instruction to add custom fonts. Also the saving should be working fine on the live site. Probably something on the server is blocking the saving process. Please contact your hosting provider and ask them to check if there are some security or size limitation settings that may be blocking Nicepage requests.
If that does not help, provide an access to the site backend so we could check the issue.
