How can I import a proiject? Why is this so complicated?

I'm on a Mac and have just wasted the best part of 2 hours trying to import my project from a git repo.

I keep getting "Directory not empty" error.

I'm now at a loss as to how I can re-open a site I created for a client.

Why does Nicepage group all sites togeather in a single folder/subfolder structure? How are we supposed to backup / restore individule projects? Why does Nicepage name sites via random numbers? How are we supposed to tell what site is what from the file system based on this numbering system? Why cant we save projects as our own file names? Hi Paul,

Nicepage project storage is our internal structure and it was not intended to be used by the end user for his own purposes. If you want to make the site backup, please consider exporting it as a Project and then import back when needed.

I've just managed to get this working.

This is what I did for anyone else suffering the same issue...

Launch Nicepage > Preferences
Change project folder to /bespoke-folder-structure
Nicepage will create a folder named /bespoke-folder-structure/Nicepage
(Note: This folder must not exist and be empty or Nicepage will complain)
Close Nicepage
Copy your existing project subfolders into /bespoke-folder-structure/Nicepage/*

for example you will end up with a folder structure as follows...

/bespoke-folder-structure/Nicepage/Site_somerandomnumber
/bespoke-folder-structure/Nicepage/Site_somerandomnumber
/bespoke-folder-structure/Nicepage/Site_somerandomnumber
etc...

Relaunch Nicepage and the sites should now be imported.
