I just installed the most recent update 2.25 no text wrap for images

When I click on an inserted image, I can see three alignment modes in the right panel - see screenshot. Do you not see that?
This is a very welcome feature. However, it doesn't look like there's a center alignment. I know this can be done using one text element, the image, then another text element, but it would be easier if I could insert an image then decide the best was to fit the text.
Also, there seems to be no way to size or move the image. I can delete it, move the cursor to a new position then reinsert the image, but that seem unnecessarily complicated. But surely resizing is essential? What size is it supposed to be?
And the Crop does nothing!
