How do i get the changes i made online in chrome to my desktop version?

Desktop application is separated from the plug-in you are using on the live site. On the live site you can edit content only.
Only desktop application allows you to export the theme in a Project format and then import it in any other Nicepage desktop application.

I understand that but can I get the changes I made from the plug-in onto the desktop application? Can I download the changes from the plug-in?

Unfortunately, a Nicepage plugin for CMS does not support Export option.

That would be a nice option so then I wouldn't need to pay for akkeba backup. If I had the desktop files saved in my cloud I wouldn't need a backup.
