Ask a Question

I have a problem with the export to Joomla. Every time I import data from the package created by the app, despite the fact that it has set the file replacement, joomla create copies of the pages instead of updating them.
I followed the tutorial for exporting to joomla from the app.
What should I do to solve this problem?

Nothing, that's been reported ages ago. Currently still no fix. The only workaround is to delete the old articles and update the menu entries to the new ones.

So you're telling me I should eliminate all the items before I export?
The problem is that the number in brackets keeps going up, even to the homepage, so joomla doesn't recognize it as the homepage of the site.

BEFORE, no. AFTER. or tick the box that sais to "update main menu" as well.

Yeah i know, it's crappy design or at the very least, exteremely poor wording. The wording "replace existing content" gives the user impression that it will update and replace an existing version of that page. It doesn't. It just creates a duplicate. where the numbered one is the new version.

There's little options here. I design on joomla mysel fand just learned to live with it until they hopefully fix that crappy behavior. There's no way around updating the menu items manually if you import a newer version of the pages.
