I starated with a blank domain. Installed latest Joomla. On desktop I created a site, exported all to a theme. I installed my custom nicepage editor first. I then installed the project.zip file and the content does not display. is there a step by step doc that shows how you shoulc create a joomla template that installs like most that are purchased in clubs? Thanks.

After you install the template there should have been 2 buttons. One to install the content editor, another one to "import content from template". That's the one you're looking for.

Also, those "club" templates are very often "quick start packages" with a full customized joomla install on top. Usually a pain to update too.
