Hi Brian,

If you have issues with the exact template, please create a separate case, attach your project and several screenshots showing the issue.

Further to my original post: It seems that the responsive problems are not just an issue for WP5. I have the same responsive issues exporting HTML. With HTML there are no themes to continually break what you are doing, yet here we are re-doing the same work over and over again. Nicepage is not very nice at all.

It does work but it will not work well with other plugins or any but the default blocks. This really limits the usefulness of Nicepage editing Wordpress sites.

Another issue is the general reliability of Nicepage regardless of where it is used.
Nicepage fights with itself during lots of really simple tasks, so they have to be completed over and over again.
For example - create a header. Choose a preset for the header (Logo, search, hamburger). Add a logo. Position and resize the logo. Move the search and hamburger to match. Preview on next device (notebook), edit scale and position. Switch back to desktop preview and find everything has moved and resized. Try and fix, switch to another view and edit that. Go back to desktop view and find everything rearranged slightly differently to the last disaster. This is atrocious behaviour in any software. To edit one thing then find some other thing has changed elsewhere. I do not know if this is a bug or just a really poorly conceived UX.
This happens in more recent versions of the desktop Nicepage too.

This has been a problem for us too - I know how to use groups etc.. but responsiveness always changes, you just breath on it and everything moves. Also I feel laptop 992px should just be shrunk to fit tablet 768px automatically - they are close but its one extra responsive nightmare to deal with. I now just hand over my final design to the junior designer and he sits for hours getting the responsiveness correct for the 25+ pages we are working on.

Our designers are complaining daily about responsiveness being broken in terms of views affecting each other, and what's on the screen not matching what a client sees.

Hi,

... except the case when you use the built-in theme. This theme adds a margin to ALL html SECTION elements.

I mean the default WP 2020 theme shipped with the installation. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the third-party theme will not break anything. Therefore we suggest a Nicepage theme. But this comment is related to this specific situation. If you have any other problems please create a new private topic with the detailed issue description, screenshots, link, and access to the problem website.

By nicepage theme do you mean the use nicepage header and footer option, or use a theme exported from nicepage desktop or is there a theme accessible from the WordPress themes repository that is compatible with the nicepage editor?
Both use NicePage header and Footer and using a theme exported from Nicepage desktop have formatting issues.

Overall formatting problems are an issue anyway before layouts get to wordpress without any theme settings in place.
If there is a conflict with a layout option elsewhere a dialogue should pop up, to notify where the conflict is. It is not good practice to overide edits in the background leaving designers confused and frustrated that their work has been altered and in effect lost. I have paid a lot of money for the ultimate package and expect better than this.

Hi,

Thank you for your comments.

For example, I will set a header to be 100 px heigh in the editor, yet the output it will be over 300 px.

The described issue has nothing to do with the WordPress version except the case when you use the built-in theme. This theme adds a margin to ALL html SECTION elements. This causes problems with Nicepage blocks. In this case, we suggest that you try the Nicepage theme.

The responsive problems are not related to the WordPress version either. If you have any technical problems please feel free to create a new provide topic with the detailed issue description and screenshots so we can help you.

Nicepage plugin is compatible with WordPress 5.

We would have to agree with this.
Most time is spent re-doing responsiveness when any changes are made, and then having to check every view over and over as they break each other.
We do the basic layout and content in the desktop app, because it has more features than the WP plugin, and then do all the formatting in WP so we don't waste time re-doing after the import.

Our designers are complaining daily about responsiveness being broken in terms of views affecting each other, and what's on the screen not matching what a client sees.

Oh I didn't realize Nicepage wouldn't work with WP 5+.

I too feel like Nicepage is a little behind compared to competitors, but the UI/ Design interface is much more visual and easier for my clients. I'm really trying to stick it out with them and trying work arounds, but it's tough.

I do understand that Nicepage is only compatible up to 4.9.7 but WP 5 has been the default for some time now.
Most of the problems are with the editor showing very little resemblance to the final output. For example, I will set a header to be 100 px heigh in the editor, yet the output it will be over 300 px. The overall editing experience, particularly working with 3rd party blocks and plugins is also extremely difficult compared to competing page builders. It feels like Nicepage is stuck on WP 4, while everyone else has moved on.
