Ask a Question

Hello team,
can you please give me a hint, what went wrong, when I make a link from part of the text, it converts to button. Is it possible somehow, to use standard text link instead? It converts even the part of the text to button. That makes an disorder from such link. Currently I have not found, how to make a standard link, as it was some time ago.

Thanks for your answer,
Michal

Hello Olivia,
I understand, but in my case, everything was looking fine during editing of the article. And when the link got converted to button, there are placed empty lines, as mentioned by tiina above your answer. In my case, I tried to place these three buttons into a group, as I was expecting, that this will not allow buttons to move in unexpected way.
If you have a look to my page, where this is shown, you will notice it almost immediately. Empty lines are placed between phone numbers, that got converted to buttons, and in the editor were not shown in this way.
https://www.obchod-podlahy.cz/kontakty/kudy-k-nam.html . I also had to remove some "too fat buttons" from the grid's cell, because they caused the grid too high. So I would like to ask your devs to make it fixed. Thank You very much.
I have 2.24.8 Joomla! plugin.

Best regards,
Michal

Hi Michal,

What version of the theme are you using on the site? Have you followed the suggestion provided by Olivia above? You need to export the theme once again from the updated desktop application, not only the plug-in should be updated.

Hello Hella,
I tried to export the theme from the desktop application (updated and current version), and the result was, that the header was not displayed with the background image. So I reverted back to the previous version of the theme.
I verified, if the image used as a background in the header is on my desktop placed in the same source folder, like it was before - therefore I do not expect, that the cause of such behavior would be the fact, that my desktop app simply does not "see" the image...

Thanks for your previous answer.
Best regards,
Michal

Michal,

We found out with you what is the cause of the problem with the background image in the header in your private case. Now, could you please specify, does the issue with line breaks still persists or not?

I have the same problem. All my text links make a line break before and after all the text links. It looks awful!

Hi,

Please update the plugin and the Desktop app to the most recent version, re-export the theme from the desktop as my colleague suggested above:

To solve the issue with line breaks, please re-export the CMS theme
from the Nicepage Desktop application updated to the most recent
version. Then install the theme on your website. This should help.

If the issue still persists, please create a private case and provide temporary access to the site backend, specify problem links. We will check this problem.

Reinstalling the theme works perfectly, but in joomla you have to completely uninstall the nicepage theme you created first, then export the theme theme from nicepage and re-install it in joomla. Simply installing the theme did not work for me, it appeared to install and I thought ok I'm good but nothing changed. When I uninstalled it completely and re-installed it the button links work perfectly. The support responses are correct, so read those to format the button like a normal html link.

I don't use wordpress, but I suspect the same applies to themes in WP if you are still having issues with button links.
