What are theme changes vs content changes?

Ask a Question

I have created a site with Nicepage desktop and uploaded as a Wordpress site. I have now made changes using the Nicepage desktop app for Mac by adding a new block plus a grid in that new block, and new content in the grid.

We need to use a different form from Contact 7, called Gravity Form because we need to use webhooks. Where or how should we do this in a Nicepage webiste?

Are these changes considered theme changes, template changes or content changes?

How do I tell which theme I am using?

Which upload method should I use?

John,

  1. If you added a block in the desktop, then you need to export the content and then import the content into cms
  2. You can see the name of the theme either in the /wp-admin/themes.php section (if our theme is active), or when exporting from the desktop (by default, the name of the archive or folder is the same as the name of the theme)
  3. The loading method in your case is content loading via cms plugin - content import /wp-admin/admin.php?page=np_import
  4. By default, we do not support Gravity Form, so you can add it to the page via a shortcode (here is some manual on this topic https://docs.gravityforms.com/shortcodes/)

Thank you!

Thank you. After we add the Gravity form, what happens to it when we make other content changes?

The form is on all pages. I assume if we change anything on the Gravity form, we will need to change each occurrance of it?

Hi John,

The shortcode control only outputs the content of the shortcode. So if you use the form shortcode and you then edit the form in the form plug-in it will be automatically updated on the pages as well.

Shortcode placed in the widget causes errors and will not display the form. We followed the instructions in your documentation, placed the short code in the widget using the desktop app and uploaded Pages and Editor Plugin only. We then imported the revised plugin and content, and published the site. The form is not showing. The plugin shows "Saving" for an extended period but after several minutes, it displays the error attached.

We also tried to insert the shortcode from the Nicepage editor in Wordpress with the same result. This shortcode had been successfully installed previously, but now will not display the form.

I am attaching screenshots of the errors and alerts that show while trying to add shortcode for a Gravity form. We have checked the shortcode and it is correct.

Also
•The site does not display correctly for the Internet Explorer 11 browser
•The phone number is not clickable in the Chrome browser on mobile
•Icons show hidden text in Mac Safari desktop such as "Created by Becrisfrom the Noun Project". It does not display this text in other browsers.
• I have not had a reply to this request for four days. We used the Nicepage form, but it will not accept the phone entry that matches the regular expression ^[2-9]d{2}-d{3}-d{4}$
So if the user enters 214-444-5555, for example, it shows "Please match the requested format"

Site is dallasjunkguys.com

John,

Why didn't you try to use the Shortcode Element for that?

Thank you!
