Report a bug

I kept trying to export a website theme I had created for wordpress and it kept crashing. I saw there was an update and when I ran it all crashed with multiple errors and now I've lost all my websites and can't get the program to install. When I go to web version my sites are not there and I can't see way to access them

One Error Windows cannot access the specified device path or fil you may not have permission - well of course I do....
C:Users..... nicepage\nicepage.exe then it gave me error say link was invalid.

I am not a happy person right now. I have spent hours setting up this theme.

Yes I am running windows 7 pro but it has worked before on multiple sites.

Koral,

We are sorry for inconvenience.

  1. Please restart your computer
  2. Uninstall Nicepage
  3. Open Windows Explorer
  4. Type %APPDATA% in the address bar
  5. Find and rename the Nicepage directory to something else
  6. Download and install the new version from our website

Do you still have the issue?

Chris

The uninstall is corrupted. I could not run because the update failed part way thru and corrupted exe, link and uninstall. I had already tried renaming but all locked - said in use. So restarted computer and was able to rename all the directories, and as state I had already downloaded newest version - and tried to install - that is what really crashed everything. Tried install again. Still won't install after I renamed all the folders. Stalls out about a 3rd way in. Now I don't get the errors, just won't complete the install. Hasn't even gotten far enough to install any new folders under appdata so still dead in the water.

Koral,

After restarting your computer, also please try to rename these directories:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\nicepage-updater
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Nicepage
%APPDATA%\Nicepage

And try again.

I thought I had renamed all of those the first time - I went thru all of app data and renamed every folder with nicepage and it was these 3 and then restarted - apparently the one under programs did not take.Must have been a file hanging open. Renamed again and restarted computer again. All remained renamed. The install still fails at 1/3 of the way- no error messages. Am I going to have to go into the registry? This is ridiculous - I now have lost days of work. I have even tried both 2.20.1 and 2.21.3 - both have failed at a 1/3

Well gave up on getting an answer here. I went into the registry, backed it up in case, and edited anything with nicepage and the install worked. I really had expected better support on this and am very disappointed. You pay money for a program with support and you expect to get it. Luckily I know a bit about computers and was able to fix but most would not. Oh well.

As stated above, I was able to fix it myself by going into the registry. I gave up on you all getting back with me.
