Index page and Home page

I meant "It's unclear to me". Also, this is primarily when I am generating an HTML based website.

When exporting the HTML site, the index.html file will be created if your home page has a different name. That is required as some hosting needs to have the index.html file to load the start page of the site. If you call the home page of your site index then there will be only one index.html page in the export.

In the case of two pages with the same content please use the canonical link option under the Page Settings.
The index file is required by some servers. We do not plan to remove it from the website export at this moment.

The assigned home page automatically creates an index.html page when exported.
You shouldn’t have to name it.

Hi, I have had the same issue and tried to change home name to index but this error comes up " Reserved page name is used."

Please advise.
