Ask a Question

Hi

In the WordPress blog template, many of the block types have the featured image in the left cell and the blog excerpt text in the right cell. By default, the left cell has the image as its background but I'm not sure what the difference is between this and the Post image element - they may be the same, but I'm not sure.

However, whether or not I select Cover or Contain for the image, if the blog excerpt text is longer then the image, the image is stretched downwards to match the length of the text cell. I'd like to keep the image at its original size and stuck to the top of the cell.

Is there a way to do that?

Alan,

On a blog, images are displayed of the size set on the desktop in the blog template before exporting. If they are large, then the Post Image Element is stretched to their size. As an option, you can try setting the exact dimensions for your Post Image Element. However, this option is not universal, since the sizes are tied to specific images, and if you change those in your CMS, the dimensions will remain as were set.

Thank you!

Thanks.

I don't know what I was doing before but I changed the block style to something better suited to my website design, removed the cell background image, added in the Post Image element, made sure it was set to Aligned Top and it all seems to work OK.
