Ask a Question

How can I use different headers for one site? I need to use different header logos for several areas of one website.

I already understood I have to assign different templates to the articles but how can I design them with the joomla plugin? It seems only one theme can be used and edited in one time. Thanks for helping with this challenge.

Hi Marco,

If you only need different logos (but everything else is the same) I suggest that you try the Position control instead of the Logo. Then locate Joomla modules with the desired images in this position and assign them to the desired pages.
Please keep us posted about the progress.

Hi Olivia,

thanks for your help whicht is highly appreciated! I think this might work as you suggested. But again I encounter issues in desktop version and joomla plugin interfering each other: The new module logo is visible on all pages created with the plugin but it doesn't affect the pages created with the desktop version at all.

And to make things worse: The imported content is showing the header template edited by the plugin directly in joomla and all new created pages by the plugin are showing the header from the template created by the desktop version.

Edit: I figured out that positions defined in the plugin don't become available for selection as module positions. You have to specify new positions via desktop version.

It's all about selecting either 'nicepage header and footer', 'theme header and footer' or 'theme template'. So to understand this right - Nicepage plugin styles and installed template from desktop version work as two different templates?

Hi Marco,

Generally the theme for the whole site should be edited using the desktop application. In the plug-in on the site you can edit the header and footer, but that will edit the header and footer for that page and not globally. So you can choose for each page created with Nicepage to use the Theme header and footer or to use the one that you have edited within the plug-in.
