thanks for your help whicht is highly appreciated! I think this might work as you suggested. But again I encounter issues in desktop version and joomla plugin interfering each other: The new module logo is visible on all pages created with the plugin but it doesn't affect the pages created with the desktop version at all.
And to make things worse: The imported content is showing the header template edited by the plugin directly in joomla and all new created pages by the plugin are showing the header from the template created by the desktop version.
Edit: I figured out that positions defined in the plugin don't become available for selection as module positions. You have to specify new positions via desktop version.
It's all about selecting either 'nicepage header and footer', 'theme header and footer' or 'theme template'. So to understand this right - Nicepage plugin styles and installed template from desktop version work as two different templates?
