Sidebar joomla

Hi Andreas,

The sidebar can be added to the Blog and Post templates. The Blog template is used for the menu items of the Category Blog, Featured articles and Archived articles. The Post template is used for all the other menu item types. But the articles (content) that you create with Nicepage do not use those templates so there will be no sidebar on those pages.

Hi Hella,
thank you for your answer. If I want to make a site just with a sidebar and normal content, I just use the post template and add a sidebar to it and give different positions for different modules? I just want the whole thing to come out like this. Only one sidebar would also be ok, if it is not possible to add right or left at the same time.
This template I made with Artisteer, and I would like to have something similar, but with Nicepage.

Hi Andreas,

Yes, if you create the articles using the Joomla default editor, then they will be using the Post template with the defined sidebar. Unfortunately there is no way to add two sidebars.

Hi Hella,
ok I try it with one sidebar, thats no problem.
Is there an exact video description, how, to do this with the sidebar? I first want to built the website with the windows application and then import it into joomla.
Sorry for all this questions, but its a bit hart for me to figuere it out even if it is maybe simple. I need to see it step by step

I am struggling the same issue. did you solve the problem? i know i need to add sidebar to post template - but there's no clear explanation how.
