I'm not IT trained. So, I know how to add a search bar. But I don't know how to add data to the search bar. I am creating a web site for download softwares. I add some hyperlinks for it also. But when in preview, when I searched for something i can't display it.

Hi,

Please provide some more details. What CMS you are using? Or is that an HTML site? Do you mean that you add the Search control in Nicepage and on the live site, when searching for some word that should give you the results of the pages from your site, nothing appears? We need a link to your site and the exact search word that you are using to check the issue.

Hello,

To implement such features you need to use some server-side technologies like PHP or use CMS. For static sites Nicepage generates client side part which is not enough to implement everything what you want, but it is possible to make them work together Nicepage generated part and custom server part of site.

I see Nicepage has a 'Search bar' element but of course it doesn't search.

I use Findberry for my search code and it's great. Is it possible to somehow use your Nicepage search bar element with the Findberry html code inside the Nicepage search bar?

To be clear, is the Nicepage 'Search bar' element functional in some way, or only a decoration element?

Hi,

Nicepage Search control uses a CMS search engine. We do not offer a built-in search engine for HTML export due to many reasons.
We're not familiar with Findberry and how it works. You can use HTML control to insert the desired custom code for search or any other custom functionality.

You can use the html element and paste your custom search code into it. Place the html element where you want to have the search displayed.
