Ask a Question

Hi
I am trying to add a pop up module on my Joomla site (announcement) - http://smpdev.mitzidesign.info/
I uploaded popupahollic module - but could not get this to work on the NP site.
I read your support tickets and could not get this to work on my site.

What would you recommend?
Thank you!
Mitzi

Hi Mitzi,

I published the module to all pages, but "popup" position was not listed. A new position was listed - "position-sidebar". I selected that and it did not work.

Please TYPE the "popup" position name. ou cannot create a new position in the theme from the content. Therefore the name of this position does not appear in the list of positions. But Joomla allows typing the name of any position. Simply type it and press ENTER.

Ok - I see how it should work, but it still doesn't..

Here is what I did:
In the backend of the site, I edited the article "Homepage (2)" and added a position (by selecting sidebar & position). I then named this new position - "popup".

I published the module to all pages, but "popup" position was not listed. A new position was listed - "position-sidebar". I selected that and it did not work.

I then tried using the module with the default Joomla theme. That worked, but the position was named "position-2" (not "popup").

What are your thoughts?
Thank you!

Hi Mitzi,

I've tested this module on my side and it works ok.
Here is what I did:

  1. added Position control to the page (content, header or footer) with the name "popup" but you can use any
  2. published the module to all pages in the "popup" module position.

That's all.
Please try this module with the default Joomla theme. Does the issue continue?
