Ask a Question

Hi! I am now enjoying the NicePage software and have just made my first test-page to my internet-radio. But I need to add som additional HTML codes to different places in the html-code. How do I do that?

I am going to add a "now playing" widget and it needs html-codes to be added in the section and just before closing of tag. and furthermore a html-code on whereever I want the widget to be placed (the last one I found out ofcorse)....

Could you please help me asap as the radio-page needs to be finished by tomorrow at 16.00 CET.

Tnx in advance - from Arnt Petter Andersen in Norway

Hi Arnt,

There are two places for custom HTML:
- HTML control allows adding custom HTML to any place in the BODY. I suggest that you try this control for adding code to the end of the BODY too. You cannot add custom code right before the closing tag. But I suggest that you add HTML control to the Footer. This should work too.
- Site Settings or Page Properties >> HTML >> Additional HEAD HTML. Here you can add custom HTML to the HEAD section.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi - a follow-up question to this:
Is there a plan for adding this feature in the future updates to NicePage designer software? - I have spent a bunch of money on some software I can't use because I can't get the widgets on my webpage because I can't add html-codes to the end of the tag, and that isn't what I was hoping when I bought it.

With regards from Arnt Petter Andersen.

Hi,

In most of the cases, it is enough to add custom HTML somewhere close to the closing BODY tag. The exact place does not matter. It is a recommendation to add it after the rest of the page content. In other words, the widget should work if you added everything else properly.

Hi Arnt,

The first line can be added using the HTML control in any place that you want and the second script part should be added under the Theme >> Settings >> HTML >> Additional Head HTML.
If that does not work, check it with any other theme (not Nicepage) that it works fine and the problem is in the theme and not in the code.

Hi,

Please explain the question in more details. You can edit only HTML elements tat you have previously inserted with your custom code. You cannot edit the HTML code of any theme element.
