Ask a Question

WebP and Jpeg 2000 images are not supported by all browsers. If I want to have any support by all browsers I need to have the same picture in different formats (for Safari Jpeg 2000 and all other browser WebP). How can I do that in Nicepage? Is there any easy possebility to user alternate pictures? This is necessary not to be penalized by Google for the speed.

Take a look at the JCH Optimize Pro and Jspeed extensions. Both have the functionality of optimizing your images and decreasing load time.

You using any type of CMS? I use joomla and there's ways around that using extensions. built a couple sites with this so far and i'm scoring a PERFECT 100% on GTmetrix, despite using "old school" jpeg's

Yes, therefore alternate pictures (for Safari) are necessary, beside storage issue

WebP is supported by just about any browser (even android ones), it's apple (Safari) that needs to implement support for it.

That's an apple problem, not a nicepage one. The problem here is that nicepage itself doesn't yet store as WebP
