Ask a Question

Just exploring what is on offer.....some quick questions:
1) Can I (where?) change HTML within a page? Similarly ADD my own html to a page (eg custom 3rd party form)
2) Can I add HTML description etc for individual pages?....or set sub pages to inherit from other pages?
3) How does one move blocks from one page to another?
4) "Please note that expired license does not allow to use new Nicepage Desktop or plugin versions" - What does this mean?
5) Is there any visual heirachy structure of the website other than page 1/page 2 etc....
6) I noticed that site template eg Food black and white image of ladies drinking does not display on mobile very well.....is that usual?

First impressions look promising.

thanks

Hi,

Can I (where?) change HTML within a page? Similarly ADD my own html to a page (eg custom 3rd party form)

Nicepage does not provide the option to edit page HTML. But you can add custom HTML to the page using HTML control, available under the "Element" menu.

Can I add HTML description etc for individual pages?....or set sub pages to inherit from other pages?

Yes, please open Page Settings in the right-side panel >> SEO tab.

How does one move blocks from one page to another?

You can copy blocks between website pages in Nicepage Desktop application only:

copy-block.png

"Please note that expired license does not allow to use new Nicepage Desktop or plugin versions" - What does this mean?

Nicepage license includes one year of free updates. After the subscription expires you can no longer receive updates. But you can use the version released during the year of free updates.

Is there any visual heirachy structure of the website other than page 1/page 2 etc....

Unfortunately, there is no other hierarchy.

I noticed that site template eg Food black and white image of ladies drinking does not display on mobile very well.....is that usual?

Please provide a few screenshots that demonstrate the issue you're referring to.
In general, it depends on the block settings.

is development of sites dependent on internet access or can they be developed on my own hard drive?

Nicepage Desktop application saves projects locally. But it requires an internet connection to load blocks, page designs, images, etc. and for authentication.

Where are the sites stored - can I specify where on my laptop I want to put them?

Nicepage Desktop saves websites in the /Documents/Nicepage folder. You can change the projects folder under the Profile >> Preferences.

Is there a pointer to FTP to server?

Nicepage Desktop supports exporting to the FTP server.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for the answers.....I have used Net Objects Fusion for over ten years but sadly no longer supported or responsive. I have created a few sites with Mobirise but there are lots of things here that annoy people....so I look elsewhere....

I will play around a little more and then happy to buy a plan.

Q6 - Screenshots of Desktop and mobile attached where the mobile version image is no good.

Hi,

We will be glad if you become Nicepage user in the future.

The image on the screenshot is background image. Therefore its behavior is proper. The size of the image depends on the side of the container. Looks like this is block background. Therefore the size depends on the block height.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Yes.....it does seem an issue with Mobirise too(!). How do I for example get the nice image NP-DEsktop.JPG to display on Desktop.....BUT maybe a (maybe different) more portrait-orientated image to display on mobile.

Hi,

The background image is resized proportionally depending on the width and height of the container.
Therefore it may look as on the attached screenshot. The only way to resize the image is to resize the container. Unfortunately, you cannot set different background images in different responsive modes.

Yeah this seems a problem with all these new packages. Seems to defeat the object of responsiveness.
In Net Objects Fusion - yes I have to create two versions....but I can make the mobile version as different as I want to(!)

see www.libertybs.co.uk Look on desktop and then on mobile.

Hi,

You can only resize the block for the responsive modes or even use another block for the responsive views. For that use the Hide On option that you can find for each control in the bottom of the right panel.
