Ask a Question

Hi Nicepage team,

Is it possible to hide the Nicepage module for certain users?
Because sometimes users with low rights, are messing around, i want to hide Nicepage for them.
I looked around in the Joomla-system, but i can't find anything.
Can you help me with this.

Kind regards,
Frank Gijsen

Sorry for the late reply.
I know that it is possible to use Nicepage when you have editing rights.
But is it possible to hide Nicepage, because a lot of users in Joomla can't handle Nicepage.
And i want these users not to use Nicepage.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Frank,

We do not have such an option, but it will be added to our wishlist.

You should be able to use Joomla's ACL to disallow access to the extension for the affected usergroup/access level

You can't hide such things from specific users. You need to hide it from complete usergroups.

Users > User Access Levels > Click Nicepage on the left. Set to "Prohibited" where desired instead of "allowed / inherited". Should hide the component on the backend at least. You'll have to test then if it hides on the front end too

Hi Ch3vr0n,

As you can see in the 3 attached files, i disabled all rights for user Manager, Registered and Author concerning the module Nicepage. When i log in as a user with the rights Manager, Registered and Author i still can see the module Nicepage and i can use it as well. So in my case the rule settings doesn't affect Nicepage.
I hope there is still a way to eleminate the Nicepage module for certain user?

With kind regards,

Nope, you can't revoke access to a specific user. Only usergroups. Either nicepage module doesn't support Joomla's ACL or its something else

Then i think Nicepage doesn't support Joomla's ACL.
