Is it possible to switch off a page in the menu (header). I would like to create subpages that can only be reached via a link in the text or button.

Kindly elaborate more on that. If you do not wish to show the pages in your menu. You can delete them from the Menu Items list.

Just open the menu for editing ad press the trash icon near the menu item that you want to delete.

I want to REMOVE the menu item. How do I do that? I have subpages that are linked in a page already and don't want a ton of links at the top when they are already linked in a page already. I have been looking EVERYWHERE for the answer to this question. I am not going to integrate with Joomla or Wordpress and everything seems concerned with those programs.

Do you mean that you want to REMOVE the item from the menu or you want to make it as a non-clickable item? In the second case please us # instead of item URL.
