Ask a Question

I have sites that are in German and others that are in English. I recently redid a German site and when I looked at it the Umlauts are all screwed up in the different browsers. How can I take care of this? I made sure that both Nicepage settings and the website are switched to German but to no avail.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Sylvia

Hi Sylvia,

Could you please provide a link to the website that demonstrates the issue and a few screenshots?

www.haenni.syltrans.com

I have it on there before I switch it live on their actual domain :-)

I am attaching Safari view, Firefox and Google Chrome. Safari seems to work but on my cell phone it does not do the umlauts either.

Hi Sylvia,

Please check Nicepage Theme >> Fonts >> Subset setting. It is better to use "Latin Extended".
Does the issue continue with this subset?

Hi Sylvia,

Yes, please update the theme in the desktop application and then load the new theme on the site.
