Report a bug

Sometimes when I select one or two words and add hyperlink from the field bar above, it extends to the whole text. I can't go backwards, CTRL+Z doesn't work in this case, so very frustrating because I have to remove the whole-text link and create every single link into this text... again.

I noticed this behavior occurs sometimes with bold also. Like if selection was lost when i click to modify text attribute.

In fact hyperlink on text selection, in wordpress plugin, doesn't work for me, i select 2 words, add link page without modifying url, add link, then link is not working, replaced by "#"
Links on buttons seems to be ok, if created in WP because not linked correctly on import from desktop application (see other ticket about this)
Could you please check and fix quickly...

I, too, am having a problem with hyperlink.

In version 2.9.0 it is impossible to create a new hyperlink on just a couple of words in a text. It hyperlinks the whole box of text, not just the two words. It doesn't even give the option anymore of creating a label consisting of the text selection I want to hyperlink.

This happens with new hyperlinks. Old hyperlinks, if you don't try to change them still work properly. See screen shots of what it looks like. Now there is no option to create a label, which is the

This is such a fundamental need when building websites, please can you sort this out very quickly.
Thank you.

Hi,

As I understand the issue occurs in the Desktop app only, right?
Unfortunately, we can't repeat the issue on our side. So could you please create a separate private case and for further investigation of the issue provide:
1. Nicepage Desktop website exported as a Project for further investigation of the issue:

Export-project.jpg

2. Specify on what exactly words you add a link

Is there any solution to this issue? I see I am not the only one experiencing this.

This is still an issue with the latest update I did today, 1/12/2024! The old Front Page had less bugs, wish it was updated!

I am using the standalone app. This is what people are complaining about. Create a blank page, use Alt-T to insert text box element. Highlight only the words "Text Element". Click the chain link box and select a page for hyperlink. Once you do that all of the text is made a Button. How can you only make the "Text Element" words be the Hyperlink and not the rest of the sentence in a text string?

If I am doing something wrong, please explain how to do this function correctly.

Thank you.
Dennis

Here is a workaround for the Hypertext issue. Since Nicepage won't take the time and troubleshoot the Standalone program, here is what to do. Using Word, write out the your text you need, then Highlight the text you want to have as a hyperlink, then add the link. Now copy all of the text with the Hyperlink in it and paste into the Text box of your Nicepage project. This works every time. Do not edit the hyperlink selection of text in Nicepage or else it may make all of the text a Button.

Hello out there,

I am still in the test version and have the same problem with the links on single words. By chance I found a similar solution as 31stind (I had copied a text with a link from an existing website). Unfortunately, this only worked once.

Finally, I somehow managed to declare one word in the continuous text as a "button" (you can see this when hovering over it, picture attached) and was able to assign the desired link to this word - the rest of the text remains a simple text and the "button" moves with the text in the responsive designs. actually perfect. 😁 Unfortunately, I only succeeded once. 🤔 I'll keep trying - if it works reproducibly, I'll get back to you.

Until then, the detour via Word must work. Maybe someone else will find out in the meantime how this works reliably...

Greetings - a very old website rookie :-)

Guys, I have a solution! It had left me no peace. And without any CSS or HTML (which an old woman doesn't even want to start with)...

  1. write text. (picture 1)

  2. add a hyperlink button as a new element (I took the first one from the menu). Picture 2

  3. double-click the hyperlink and cut it out. Picture 3

  4. Insert the hyperlink in the text at the desired position. Don't be surprised, it no longer looks like a link, but like the rest of the text. Picture 4

  5. now double-click the hyperlink again and replace it with the desired text. Picture 5

to be continued, only five pictures possible :-)

... and picture 6...

Step 6: then double-click again and go to the link symbol. Now the normal link menu opens and everything can be easily edited. Picture 7 and 8

You can now see that it is actually a text, but with a button element inside. Picture 9

And you can also see the link you attached in the menu on the right. Picture 10
Try it out.

It is a bit complicated, but understandable, isn't it? And it works 😁😁😁

Sorry for the long text, but English is not my mother tongue and I hope you can understand it, even if it has become a bit lengthy. Good night and good luck!

Update: In the meantime, I've unfortunately been on the verge of freaking out with my method several times, sometimes it doesn't work in the property panel, but only in the bar above the text block. Sorry, so my idea is probably not exactly brilliant either.

But somehow it works in the end. 🤔 most of the times.

Is there no easier way??!! Or is it just that I'm simply not the brightest candle on the cake of webdesign??
