Ask a Question

Hello,

Somehow there has popped up a white block on one of my pages in Nicepage that I can't remove. I've been editing the page in Wordpress and in some way the block was automatically added. When I use the developer tool in Chrome I see that it's four svg links with the name svg.\"u-svg-link\". When I hover over them they're clickable, and when I click on them I come to the top of the page.

I need to remove this can you please help me and advise me what to do?

I have the exact same problem too since yesterday, ruins the whole layout too because it takes so much space!

Is there any way to edit the page file manually? They appear as a long white space in nicepage, but no options or possibility to delete. I can see them in chrome inspector.

A solution to this would be welcome!

It's also not block specific but concerns the whole page (at the bottom), and appears on multiple pages, but not all.

Only difference between the pages I could make out was that the affacted pages use various shortcodes, if that helps.

Same problem....

I found a solution. A bit crazy but it works.

Enter NP editor of page where problem exist. Enter console in chrome ctrl+shift+c, find those blank elements and delete them. Then save page.

Is this save? I'd like an official reply before I possible ruin my site or the nicepage plugin, but thanks for the tip!

I would also highly appreciate a reply from the Nicepage team considering this bug on how to delete them in the WP plugin

Hi,

Please provide some links to the pages where we could see the issue. Maybe we would also need an access to the site backend to check the settings.

You can take a look at http://bglilienfeld.ac.at/cms_wordpress/, but you only see them in chrome inspector, because I set their display to none in css. (look for spans with class "u-back-to-top", it has grown even more, now up to a dozend svg links)

I have sent a private message to the support with the link to my website, and also for me the number of svg links have increased.

Hi,

Our team will be very grateful to you if you can provide more details about the issue.
Please specify the issue has appeared only in the WP after the latest update (2.6.4.)? And with new pages only? After what exactly actions like:
- data import;
- some manipulation with the button "back to top";
- content editing, etc.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know when the latest update was but the first time I noticed this problem was probably the day or some day before I created this discussion. The issue has only occured on pages that I've edited, not on the ones I've left untouched.

  • data import; No
  • some manipulation with the button "back to top"; No
  • content editing, etc.: Simply editing the page, adding different blocks

I saw just now that I had the update 2.6.2 on my Worpress, so I updated to version 2.6.4. I created a new page with different blocks to see if there was any difference but the white space is still automatically added when I save the page.

For your information: I tested to create a new page on another website that I've built with Nicepage that currently has the version 2.5.1, and here the problem with the white space did not occur.

Still appears on new pages for us, both with nicepage 2.4 and 2.6. Very irritating, since it messes up the design, bloats up the files and we can't use more than a few spans anymore. Tough we didn't use it I guess it would have to do something with the new back to top button? Which is not working at all it appears?

The huge white sections are gone from the np editor now, but the half a dozend svg links are still in the source code so we still have to manually blend them out (and thus can't use more than a few spans), any idea how to solve this?
