Ask a Question

Every time when I make a port or Blog template and exit the program I have to select the Blog template again. When exporting the template it only exports the page and no joomla positions of modules are visible. I am at my wits end and don't understand how to use this program anymore. (Artisteer was a much better program.)
How can I export a Blog template to Joomla (zip file) which includes the sudebar and joomla positions ?

Help.

I have watched the video on joomla positions, but it does not correspond at all with my latest version of the nicepage plugin

I have added a screenshot of the "new page" I get, but there is no option to add a position. Only the option to add a section. When I do that I can add a position to the section and give it a name, but it never shows uo in the list of positions when I add a module.
Also it never shows up in the template section, so it is a page and not a template. How do I go from a page to a template ?

Hi Idso,

According to the screenshot you are working online on your site with the plug-in. The edition of the Blog and Post templates is available in the desktop application only. Please open your desktop, select the Theme drop-down and there select the Post or Blog template. There you will be able to add a sidebar and also positions.
Regarding the positions in Joomla, please refer to the following article:
https://nicepage.com/doc/article/6700/how-to-use-positions-in-nicepage-joomla-extension

So you will see that if you insert the position within the page area (the content) you need to give that position the existing position name. Like for example, you have added the position with the position-1 name. Then make sure that the position with the same position-1 name exists in any template part of the theme (like Blog or Post template, header or footer).
