Report a bug

Hi guys

I am building a Joomla site (5.x) and when installing the nicepage plugin 6.17.0 the system hangs for a long while, and the spits out this:

Request Timeout
Server timeout waiting for the HTTP request from the client.
Additionally, a 408 Request Timeout error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any other NON nicepage component/module/plugin gets installed without an issue.

The issue is occurring on Safari AND Firefox.

Any suggestions here, 'cause I am truly stuck.

quick update: the install works in FF if you upload the zip package into tmp. I still think that something should be looked into, though. My ticket can be closed.

Hi Alex,

It looks like there might be some issue with the server settings. If possible, please contact your hosting service and ask them if some options are blocking the installation of Nicepage component. They may see some errors in the logs.

no it is not my server as i managed to upload both templates and plugin using the “upload from server” option. blaming the server sounds to me like an excuse, sorry.
