Ask a Question

I am using the NP desktop app to create websites, and then export them into Wordpress. I am using my own hosting as well.

One of my clients wants to start adding blog posts to her website. I've read your "Post Template" documentation and have setup the post template in NP desktop app. I have exported the theme to the website. I think I understand that part.

How do I actually create a blog post? Your doc explains the template and even shows "an example of content output with the Post Template." But I don't understand where to actually create the blog post.

I tried just using the Gutenburg editor, but it's capability is limited and it's difficult to use. And the resulting post does not use the NP template. Do I create it in the NP desktop app and then export it to WP?

Thanks for any help and clarification with this issue.

Thanks. That's what I've done to try to setup her blog posts.

That takes me to the WP Gutenburg block editor. I'm assuming that is what I have to us e to create blog posts.

My main problem is the footer is messed up for the posts. As opposed to the footer on the pages. (Please see screenshots.)

The website is sturtzpm.com. And an example of the blog post is https://sturtzpm.com/2024/07/23/sustainability-explained-part-1/.

Thanks

Hello Jim,

The blog post page uses your default theme Post template. It looks like you have duplicated widgets created with your theme in WordPress.
You can delete the extra widgets in your admin panel >> Appearance >> Widgets >> Primary widget area, see attached.

Thanks so much! It was a little different in my setup, but your info helped me figure it out.

I'm still a little fuzzy on the relationship between NP and WP widgets and menus. I have to brush up on that.

Appreciate your help!
