Ask a Question

I've currently installed both virtuemart and hikashop starter in order to decide which one is best. Now on the menu item "webshop" i'd like to show a shopping cart module. To that end i've tried doing it https://nicepage.com/doc/article/6700/how-to-use-positions-in-nicepage-joomla-extension that way.

I have a new blank page called sidebar. With a module in it. linked the module to the position "sidebar". The problem is that when i go to the specific menu item > details > Template style > i can only pick "<sitename> - default". The menu item type is "category listing". Same applies when i go for the virtuemart "category layout" option.

So as it is now, i have no option to display the sidebar.

Hi Wim,

Nicepage Page is a content- Joomla article. If you want to add a sidebar to the page created by third-party extension you should add it to the theme. open Nicepage Desktop >> Create a new website, add Sidebar to the Post and Blog Templates and export the theme. Then install this theme on your Joomla website.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Olivia

Ch3vr0n,
Is this site you worked on currently active? If so, would it be okay to get the link to that site? I'll likely be doing an ecommerce site, and I'm curious to know what approach other Nicepage users have taken.

Sure is. but unless you can read dutch, you're not going to understand much of it.
