Ask a Question

Dear Nicepage Support Team,

I am using Nicepage to create websites and recently downloaded the latest version. After the update, I have encountered an issue where previously working links now lead to a file directory listing instead of the intended content.
I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this problem. If you need additional information or access to the project, please let me know how I can provide it.

Thank you for your help and support,

Nastja

Hi, Nastja,

Will you see the same if you upload your site files to your server? We have reworked the HTML export a bit. The home.html is now empty and redirects to a site root after exporting. The actual homepage is under index.html.

Let us know if you need our further help!

Dear all, thank you for your answer. I always use index.html and the links worked well before update. I have tried to import the old working project eith working link but after exporting it again some links suddenly stopped working and I have been transfered to directory as seen on previous attached file. Any ideas how to resolve this?

Hi,

We are sorry for the delay.

This is normal behavior as the homepage HTML file now redirects to the site directory when a site is not published. The index file is linked to a homepage. After publishing, you should not see a site root on a browser.

Let us know if you need our further help!

Thank you for your answer. But while working on project, how can I check if links are correctly dotted before I connect the page to the server? It is unusuall that some of them are still working and others are not.

Thank you in advance.

Nice regards,

Nastja

Hi, Nastja,

It can be helpful to publish your site on Nicepage Hosting before publishing it to your hosting. Have you tried to do so?

Hi, Nastja,

Unfortunately, no. As I wrote earlier, everything should work well after publishing a site. If you face any issues after publishing, please let us know about them.

Dear all, I can not use the programme any more, because the index file is still not working. The pege does not open but the only thing that shows is black and white lines. We don't want to use any hosting before the page is finished. Before downloading new version it worked well. Can you please fix this problem?

Hi;
I always test my websites in a local server before hosting them.
Use XAMPP to simulate a server.
