Ask a Question

Hello.

I am building a photo gallery for a client. I have received from the client about 15 photos which I can put into a page as a gallery. Over the next year the client expects to obtain more photos and would like the ability to add them to the gallery. Is there a way for my client to do this?

Thank you.

Hi,

Yes, you can add photos to an existing Gallery Element. If needed, you can increase the number of columns and rows. Please note that our Image Gallery Element can have 10 columns and 10 rows at maximum. It means that one Gallery can contain up to 100 images.

Let us know if you need our further help!

Thank you for this reply.

If my client wants to add the photos directly, can this be done without using NicePage? For example, could they upload via FTP or another mechanism to the folder where the gallery element is pulling the images from, and that way the images will add to the existing set of photos?

Thank you.

Hi,

It is better to upload photos in the Nicepage editor with further exporting and re-publishing.

Thank you.

Just a further clarification please - the client won't have access to NicePage and may not want to have an on-going, paid relationship with me. So is there a way for them to upload photos to a directory on the server and the website already created by NicePage automatically includes those photos? Or some other mechanism the client can do on their own?

Thank you.

Hi,

In this case, it is better for your clients to share their images with you so you can add them to a gallery on your own. The photos will not be added to a gallery if you just upload them to the site root. You need to add them manually.
