Hi there
Had this from my hosting company Fasthosts, please can you advise >
Official support for PHP version 8.0 ended on the 26th of Nov 2023. Since this date PHP 8.0 has been out of the PHP support lifecycle - alongside all previous versions. This means that no new bug fixes or security updates are being released for these versions, leaving vulnerabilities in place.
While we would strongly recommend upgrading, we also understand this may not be the easiest course of action for some customers.
What do I need to do?
You have two options:
You can upgrade your PHP version and benefit from all official security updates provided by the PHP community. Details on how, can be found below. (This is what we recommend).
You can do nothing and carry on using PHP 8.0 and below, but you will be automatically enrolled in the PHP Extended Support service.
