Ask a Question

I have gone through my process of validating the one page website I have created in Google's console. I updated the domain management with the appropriate TXT file for their ownership verification and it checked out fine immediately. So that part is good, however I keep getting an AMP verification error regarding site download speeds. This is related to the download speed for multiple devices. I thought nicepage was supposed to be setup to produce a responsive website. Any Ideas?

Hello Mark,

Thanks for contacting us!

Use Google's PageSpeed Insights tool https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/v5/about to identify factors that slow down your website's loading speed. This will help pinpoint problem areas.
Use Google's AMP validator tool https://search.google.com/test/amp to identify specific errors in your website's AMP version.

We hope this helps you.

George.

AMP Validator tells me my page https://markjordanauthorffrt342.com/ is not an AMP page. Guess I'm misinformed on Nicepage. My fault for making unfounded assumptions on what a responsive webpage is and is not! Don't really care except for attempting to submit my site to search engines and they basically back-shelf it until it meets their AMP desires.

Hello Mark,

Nicepage doesn't currently offer built-in support for creating AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) directly.

While AMP offers speed benefits, it's not the only solution for a mobile-friendly website. Nicepage websites are generally responsive, meaning they adapt to different screen sizes. You can further optimize your website for mobile by:

  • Using lightweight images and videos.
  • Simplifying your layouts for smaller screens.
  • Testing your website on various mobile devices.

You can try and search the Nicepage forum for discussion on AMP:

Sincerely,
George.
