Latest updates not suitable for older MacOS

Latest NP updates can no longer be installed on MacOS High Sierra. I understand this OS should be replaced by a newer one, but....
Is there any chance that there is going to be a recent update that works on older MacOS?

If not, is it still useful to extend my business license, since the desktop version will not be updated anylonger? Should I extend to get updates on the WordPress plugin?

You can still use the Online and we are getting closer to their synchronization.
