Unfortunately, that's not possible, and we do not have recommendations; all we can say is that if you find any widget, you can embed its code in the HTML or PHP Element.

A rudimentary blog is a feature that I would like to see in Nicepage.
In the meantime I shall probably use Google Blogger and embed it if I can but will try to find something that I can use where a blog is housed on my own Google Drive (maybe Blogger does that? I shall investigate)

Nicepage supports the simple version of the Blog feature for static HTML websites. Unfortunately, it does not support categories. But Nicepage works with such platforms like WordPress where you can create blogs with categories and search.

I have found this flat file database for windows:

which stands alone as a self contained app

Also I have found this windows emulation of a card index system which may also give what I need:
