Hi Rick,

What exactly do you need to have on the site according to the rules you have mentioned? Do you mean that you need to have some specific Cookies plug-in? Please provide more details.

Due to legal changes within the EU in the field of privacy, unfortunately, from the end of March, every website within the EU will require a consent mode V2 (extensive cookie script) that complies with the European guidelines (specific technical details).

If you do not do this, you are in violation of the law, you are no longer allowed to save data from the contact form and you will not receive statistics from Google regarding your website + all your advertisements will be paused since Google and Meta do not want to collaborate with websites WITHOUT consent mode V2 cookie banner !

Where of how can I add this script (I tried in nicepage but it says it is no java script...?

Rick,

Can you please point out, maybe, a screenshot showing the differences between V1 and V2? Thank you for your help!

I don't know the exact difference but if you want to keep using Google Analytics and Google Ads after March 2024 you have to implement consent mode V2

the differences are:

before, you only needed an ok or cancel button. now we need a switch menu to let a user turn on or off what they want to let the website collects. it's not a all or nothing like before. is more a precise menu.

you can read in more detail:

or
