Thanks for using Nicepage.

The index is the main source in everything, in HTML in Javascript also. Other pages meet in the Index, why do you want to delete it? You are not available to change the page name?
If you mean also the finish of the URL, you can delete it .html, it is available from the editor also, but if you try to delete it will be bad.

I don't want to delete this, I just want it not to be in the domain but as. domain.com/homepage instead of domain.com/index.html/homepage

Here is some useful information about permalinks.
You can also contact WordPress support and clarify this issue. However, I think it is not possible.

That doesn't really help me because if I only do %postname% the page is displayed as 404 which is not so good. I would like to have the index.html completely out of the domain for the seo.
