Ask a Question

I just created and published my first NP site a few weeks ago, but since that time we've updated all of our office PCs.
We did purchase a license, and I reinstalled the NP Desktop program, but my site is no longer showing on NP Online or on NP Desktop. I assumed that everything was automatically backed up to the cloud, but how do I access it?

If it was created using the Desktop version, look inside the Documents\Nicepage folder on the system that created the site.

Hi Danielle,

Please let me know what exact publish method you have used. Was that a publish to Nicepage hosting? Ot you have exported it as HTML and uploaded to your own hosting?
Do you mean that you have created the site on your computer using the desktop application ad then you have completely cleared your computer and installed the application again without making and saving backups?

I exported as HTML and placed it onto our server.

Yes, I created it using the desktop application, but then a new PC was purchased and replaced the one that it was created on.
NP wasn't reinstalled onto my new PC so I downloaded the desktop app again and then signed in to my online account, but my site wasn't there. I wasn't aware that there were any backup's needed, though, so I doubt it ever was.

Hi Danielle,

The sites that you create using the desktop application are stored on your computer unless you choose to move them online (this is the new feature). So unless you have saved a backup or have exported the HTML theme with the Project included and do have this exported file, there is no way to restore your site.
