Searchable in file upload

Hi, It would make life easier if there was a search function in the file upload in order to re-link to an existing file rather than to have to scroll and search that way, The other thing is to be able to replace an existing file when it's updated instead of creating a new file and taking up space. Why does the plugin rename some files and not some others? Like for example I called a file 167-11-12.PDF and when uploaded the file is called 1671112.PDF which makes it unrecognizable.

The renaming of files upon upload might be due to the system's file naming conventions or limitations. Some systems automatically modify filenames to adhere to certain rules, such as removing special characters or spaces.
However, for a better understanding, please provide us with a short video or some screenshots.
