So I have recently purchased the Ultimate License and have been casually exploring in my free time and have come across MANY MANY issues, or unexpected behavior, rather, that I am unsure if they are actual bugs or not...
It is pretty disappointing because when I purchased I had 1 idea in mind (of how I was going to utilize this product, but have found that initial way might not actually be possible (maybe I misunderstood something somewhere) BUT I thought well ok at worst I can use this simply as a rapid prototyping design tool BUT with the VERY LONG LIST of issues I seem to keep running into is making it very difficult to be productive or get anything done. It seems that every time I try to create something, one thing along the way will not do what I want and so I then pivot to focus on something else and again I get blocked by something not working and so now I find I've lost days (weeks?) on failed designs I've started but couldn't finish because of editor issues ("Unexpected Behavior") and bugs. It is getting to the point now that I am beginning to wonder if I will even be able to continue to use the product in any useful ways to me now at all...
You will see that I have started to compile a long list and that is because I genuinely LOVE this product and was SO HOPEFUL for it that I wanted you to see, but alas I have come to a point that continue in this way is just taking up too much of my time that it simply doesn't pay (no pun intended) to continue to log more bugs without getting paid for doing it for you.
Anyway, with sadness, here is what I have compiled thus far. I don't know what I am going to do now. Maybe I will play a little more. I just don't want to give up on you yet!!!
=========== BUG / ERROR (UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR) LOG ===========START=============
When importing block on page it only lets you inport 1 block at a time writing over any previous import on next import. Choosing add block before or after doesn't give you the option to import only choose from premade block designs from nicepage not my own custom block designs.
WORKAROUND - Duplicate block and then right click to import new block on the 2nd copy, it will then only overwrite the 2nd one and not the 1st finally leaving you with 2 different imported blocks. You can then (luckily) change their order as needed.
Changing the border of an element in deskop and hen changing the border for that in laptop replaces the desktop css value not add a new media entry for that device size category setting.
Cannot create side menu type menus, only top facing ones.
When locking an item (box) from the outline menu, it automatically locks everything inside of it which wouldn't be bad as this is an easy default way to create groups of items to move easily without wrecking your design, but when you need to move a smaller item inside (icon) and can't grab it without moving the box it is inside of cause it keeps grabbing both every time you try to move it, it becomes madness when there is not a way to unlock the smaller item (icon) from that menu by targeting it in that menu to lock the box underneath it temporarily. So now the design is useless, as the icon is now forever glued into whatever position in the box it just so happened to be dropped in upon initial adding it. It doesn't help either that once targeting it in this way, the item cannot be moved with the keyboard functions, as it brings us right back to the beginnning with continuing to click and miss and not move the element!!
There's no way to temporarily hide from view (eye icon - like in photoshop layers panel) an entire block, only items in the block INSIDE a container. For example an image background show the block as still there vs. white making it more visible but even when white, cannot hide the block itself. So in order to get the block to complete white as a workaround you'd have to put a box the entire length of the layer and put your image on that, so then you can hide that layer (element what-have-you) but the block itself will still show but just as a plain white block kind of saying hey I'm really not here. This is better than nothing when working with different design choices and comparing things.
