Ask a Question

Hello, I have been using the starter free package to develop a website and now it's complete, I have already purchased a domain name, now I have exported the html project and have uploaded to domain directory 'public_html' but now the issue is the domain URL can't load the homepage html file for the website to be launched on browser instead it display the contens inside the public_html folder, I want your help to know what's the issue, or what's missing or what should be configured. I have read about index.html is responsible for being loaded first by the domain name, now the exported files from nicepage project seems to have no index.html file. Please help

I just tried to visit your URL and I see a webpage (not the photo you displayed).

Yes, I had renamed correctly the homepage html file to index.html but I have noticed the exporting to project doesn't export template properties,so it only loads the text but no layout and pictures, so how to resolve this? Any advice, am using the free starter package

Sorry, I don't use the free starter package so can't offer assistance there. Maybe someone else can assist?

If it's an html site, and not CMS, when you export your site to your PC, it should duplicate the home.html page and create the index.html page.
For some reason, the devs haven't stopped doing this for years with users complaining about it.
Don't change or rename anything.
The index.html page should be in your exported site folder.
Then upload all the site files to your host folder, overwriting everything.
I use FileZilla to upload my site files.
