Ask a Question

Should the recaptcha key be from my Google account or the person I'm building the site for? Who should provide the recaptcha key me or my customer?

Hello Sonja,

Thanks for contacting us!

It's best practice for the website owner (your customer) to provide the ReCAPTCHA keys for their website, even if you're building it for them.
ReCAPTCHA keys are linked to a Google account.
If you use your own keys, the customer would need to rely on you for any changes or updates to ReCAPTCHA settings, creating unnecessary dependencies.

Create a Google Account: If they don't have one already, they'll need to create a Google account.
Register for ReCAPTCHA: Visit https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/create and register their website to obtain the site key and secret key.
Provide Keys to You: Once they have the keys, they should share them with you to integrate ReCAPTCHA into the website you're building.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

...................................................
Sincerely,
George.

Hello Sonja,

Please clarify what you mean by the "file from the site" so we can help you.
If you just want to send the whole website in the zip. folder - please export your project as HTML and send the file to your client.
