I am trying to get recaptcha v3 working. It does not seem to be preventing a load of spam every hour. I have copied the keys. Do I need to customise the button and javascript?

When ReCaptcha v3 works correctly, you should see the ReCaptcha badge at the right bottom corner of your website (especially on pages with contact forms). Do you see it on your website?

I do see the badge.
I am still getting a large (100) numbr of rejected messages. Maybe they were already in a server somewhere before I set recaptcha. I will give it another day or two to resolve.

If you see the logo it’s active.
Google handles it and it’s very hit or miss.
The last time I tried it was over a year ago and it was terrible.

That's a great shame. several hundred rejected emails a day in't a problem when using a desktop but it is horrible when using a smart phone!

As an alternative, you can try to integrate other third-party CAPTCHA services into your website. If they provide scripts, you can add them in the site settings.

I may have to do that. I am going to give it a few days. I am not sure if the volume of failed mail deliveries I am getting was perhaps generated prior to ensuring recaptcha was properly setup and it is just the mail servers delivering the notices a batch at a time. I will wait a few days and if it does not stop I will code my own v2.
