Ask a Question

hi,

I tried to export a template to a joomla template with a couple of positions. I followed the video to create positions, but it doesn't work. The positions are not available after installing the template. I'm using the last version uf Joomla. Also I only have the line "existing positions" instead of position and I can't select a left or right position or so.

Is there a bug in the programm?

kind regards,
Walter van Bussel

Hi Walter,

Exactly where you added Position controls? Please note that the Nicepage Page is a content element - Joomla article. You cannot create a position in the article. If you want to add positiobns to the theme, you should add them to the Post or Blog Template, or Header/Footer. To make Left/Right position, you need to add Sidebars on the Post/Blog Templates.
But, if you added Position to the Page, you can still use this position in Joomla. This position will not be added to the theme, but if you type the position name under the module settings, this module will be displayed in this position. Joomla allows this.
