Is it possible to upgrade plans? If I subscribe to the Business plan, can I switch to the Pro or Ultimate plan later on? And within the same year? What would I have to pay at that time? The remaining portion or the full cost of the new plan?

You would pay the difference the first month.
After that, it's more than the difference because it extends the year of included updates.
